Can you make custom sleeves for our company with our logo on it?
Yes, we also make sleeves for companies. There are several options for company logo's, depending on the number of sleeves you wish to order. It is possible to embroider a logo, to use a logo label, or to hang something from the D-ring. it is also possible to stamp simple forms directly out of the felt. Please contact us for more information.
How does ordering work?
First, choose the gadget that you want covered. Is it a MacBook or other laptop, choose "MacBook". For a mobile phone, iPhone, iPod, mp3 player (all brands) choose "iPod & iPhone". For iPad, Kindle, e-readers and all other tablets and mini laptops, choose "iPad". Then pick out your sleeve in detail. Can't find it on our list? Then order a custom cover, made to fit the dimensions that you give us.
You can pay us by direct bank transfer (recommended within Europe) or by using PayPal secure payment (recommended outside Europe). We'll ship when we have finished your cover (less than one week after ordering) and the money is in the bank (usually one day after payment). If you use PayPal, we ship as soon as we can.
I have a PC laptop. Can you make a fitted sleeve for me?
Yes we can. Just click "I have a large gadget" and tick "Please make me a custom cover". Measure your laptop carefully and give us the size in millimeters (one inch = 25,4mm, for a converter click here ). We don't charge anything extra for a custom size cover.
Do you sell wholesale to shops?
Yes, we do. Check our page "shops" for one that sells Laptoptailors felt sleeves near you. None in your city? Congratulations, you could have an exclusive! Just e-mail us with a short description of your shop, as well as a VAT or tax number, and we'll be happy to send you a wholesale pricelist. We can also do custom covers for your products, such as we do for the business cards of moo.com.
Can I wash my Laptoptailors felt sleeve?
The question we want to ask you back, is: Do you really really need to? If you don't, then don't wash it. If something unspeakable got on it, then quickly wash in lukewarm soapy water. Do not soak, do not spin-dry. Move about as little as possible and leave flat to dry. Quality felt is made of wool- treat your sleeve like an expensive woolly jumper and it will serve you a long time.
The most carefree colours are the mixed ones: mixed brown, grey and black.
How does PayPal work?

I travel a lot. Is a Laptoptailors sleeve a good idea for me?
Absolutely! The felt offers a light weight shock and scratch protection, that acts as thermal insulation between the hot laptop and your lap as well. Nice on flights!
Another great thing that our customers have reported back to us, is that you don't have to take your computer out of its sleeve for the security check.
Last, but not least; our sleeves don't look like a laptop bag. Nice to fool potential thieves...
Why is felt such a good material for laptop sleeves?
We love our felt for several different reasons, but first and foremost because it looks great and the colours are so beautiful. We use a 3mm thick wool felt, to give your computer maximum protection. And here's some more advantages: felt is flame retardant, felt is shock absorbing, felt is highly resilient, felt is a renewable and eco-friendly resource (it comes from sheep). Our felt carries the Woolmark (pure new wool) and the Oekotex 100 (no harmful substances) label.
What's this keyring for? Can I hang my MacBook on it?
Ummm....Better not, we think, although we try to sew on the label and ring pretty well. But it's ideal for hanging your keycord or keys on, or a USB stick, or your accessories bag, or your phone sleeve, or any decoration and lucky charms that you like.
Why did you change you name?
We didn't mean to, but we were violating Apple brand rights with the name MacCover. They asked us quite friendly to stop doing that, and so we did. We chose the name Laptoptailors because we make sleeves for all laptops, not only macs, and because we make them all to fit exactly. Like tailors really.
